- Majority of class group floor work (circle) - This is so the teacher is able to scaffold and guide the learning process for a young group of children who need more support and can only learn with few, short and clear instructions.
- However, when working in small groups, role out tables can be placed in centre of classroom in groups of five
- Provide student-to-student interaction in small groups
- Tables are round with no sharp edges
- Space between groups for movement
- Five per table - group work & a controllable number

Ally - Soothing/Reading Area
This environment will be in the corner of a classroom. This enables the children have privacy but it is still visible for the teacher to see what the children are doing in the area.

•Brown square – Trough that is filled with plants and seeds. •Red square – Cupboard that is filled with essentials of gardening (forks, shovels, watering can, dirt, seeds etc). •Grey Square – Sink •Turquoise oval – hose. •Black lines – fence.
